Building Financial Capability

Building Financial Capability (BFC) is about supporting individuals and whānau to reach their potential by ensuring they are capable of managing their finances and making sound decisions for themselves and their whānau.

Help people learn valuable money skills and reduce money worries. A BFC plan is designed, supported and monitored to ensure that financial independence is developed over a period of time. Any information received by whānau is treated confidentially.

Any government ministry or community agency, including yourself can make a referral to Building Financial Capabilities. The staff member who completes the referral will act as a referral advocate during the needs assessment process. Referrals may take up to 3 days.
